Our Whitby cottage is located in Carrs Yard believed to be one of the oldest in Whitby. A quaint yard 3 minutes walk from the town centre. Dating back to the early 18th century a cosy old fisherman’s cottage. It has recently been fully modernised to a high standard with combi gas central heating and modern facilities, but keeping all the original features, which include open beamed ceilings. Pannett Park (ideal for dog walking) is just a minute's walk away. Set in a secluded quiet yard close to the town centre, harbour and all attractions with private parking. What better way to spend your stay in Whitby!

Accommodation

The accommodation at Amber Cottage sleeps 4(+1) and is on three levels.
Ground floor.
Open beamed ceilings lounge with open plan kitchen TV/DVD/CD and radio, seating area and table for four. Open plan stairs lead to:
First floor.
Hallway to double bedroom with wardrobe, chest of drawers
Shower room, toilet washbasin. Another set of stairs leads to:
Second floor.
Twin bedroom with wardrobe chest of draws, dorma window with open staircase.
Outside.
Courtyard garden with seating.

Services

Welcome pack on arrival. Electric oven and extractor, microwave, washer/dryer, colour TV with integrated DVD/CD, fridge freezer, radio, toaster, kettle. No extra charges for gas or electricity. Bed linen and towels are provided, however you should bring your own beach towels. Seating area in courtyard garden, at front of cottage. Private parking for 1 car, adjacent to cottage.

The cottage provides comfortable accommodation for four people. There is a chair bed in the twin bedroom which would accommodate an additional young child, but please bring your own bedding / sleeping bag. In addition there is ample room for your own travel cot in either bedroom.

As in many of Whitby’s yards, Amber Cottage has steps leading down to it and is not suitable for guests with restricted mobility.
Amber Cottage is strictly non-smoking and one well-behaved house-trained small dog is welcome only by prior arrangement. Pets must be kept at ground floor level only and please bring your own pet bed, bowls etc.

Prices range from £225 in low season to £525 in high season. The cottage is let Saturday to Saturday and short breaks are welcome out of high season.

Arrival / departure

Unless made by prior arrangement, bookings are from Saturday to Saturday. Arrival from 3 pm. A spare key will be provided in the cottage. Please vacate the cottage promptly or before 10am on the morning of your departure. Any damage must be reported and paid for before you depart. The cottage should be left clean and tidy.
